Terms of collaboration to work as a carrier with
Freight Car Europe

Freight Car Europe commits to protect its partners in eventual controversies with customers.

Freight Car Europe commits to ensure that the payment for a finished transport, according to the agreements made, is settled within 5 working days from the delivery of the CMR stamped upon delivery.

In case of any significant modification or incorrect information provided by the customer for an assigned job, like the route, status of the vehicle or the type of vehicle, Freight Car Europe commits to ensure a proper compensation from the final customer to the carrier, the compensation will be related and weighted based on the changes or cancellations to the agreed job.

Freight Car Europe expects its customers to empty their vehicles before departing for transport.

Freight Car Europe expects maximum cooperation from its partners, maximum availability for communications and maximum effort for everything concerning both working procedures of quotes management and transports.

Freight Car Europe accepts the subcontracting of transport provided that we are made aware of the final company of the subcontract, as some carriers are not welcome. The responsibility for a transport remains with the company to which Freight Car Europe has assigned the job.

Freight Car Europe, in good faith, considers as valid the mandatory documents to work as a carrier (freight forwarder / transport professional) which you have to provide as required attachments in the form above. Be sure to send us the renewed documents within 24 hours after the expiration date of the previous documents. Any intentional falsification or forgetfulness of renewal will be considered illicit and an offense to our company, leading to immediate termination of the working collaboration and a report to the competent authorities. The absence of these documents is a criminal offense against the carrier alone, no such liability can be attributed to Freight Car Europe. 
Freight Car Europe expects to receive the renewed documents without prompting or notifying any carrier.

Our carrier partners to which we assign a job take full and complete responsibility for the accepted assignment. Freight Car Europe does not tolerate the following actions while on the job: drinking alcohol, taking any substance that alters senses, stealing. Any violation of this requirement is illicit and an offense to our company, leading to immediate termination of the working collaboration and a report to the competent authorities. Any violation of the law is a criminal offense against the carrier alone, no such liability can be attributed to Freight Car Europe.

The carrier assumes responsibility for the transported vehicle in the event of damage, accident or theft of the vehicle. We do not hold the carrier responsible for the theft of objects inside the passenger compartment which cannot be attributed to him, as:

• Our customers are expected to empty their vehicles before departure.
• Carriers are allowed to take breaks at service stations and aren’t expected to guard the transported vehicles during breaks.

Any delay, reorganization, change of vehicle or driver must be communicated promptly so as not to cause delays in the execution of the established and agreed transport program.
